Fellow Rocks is one of Safaga's more interesting dive sites. There are two large pinnacles that rise side by side from 25 meters deep all the way up to 3 meters below the surface. Start as far north of the northern pinnacle as you can and drift along its eastern side to the south. Many species of pelagic visit this area frequently so be prepared for some wild hunting. If there are no currents you can also start at the deep drop-off in the east where after you visit the pinnacles in the west.
Dive operators seldom visit this dive site which has many reasons. Currents are strong and diving here is not very good for novice divers. The weather is often bad which results in difficult conditions for boats to moor. Best is to use a motorboat to be dropped of near the dive site while the boat waits in open waters. Don’t imagine the seasickness you can have here if you are a novice diver and have to wait on the boat. Even the ride with motorboat is for divers with a strong stomach. But all this is worth it as it is one of the untouched dive sites of Safaga.
