Yellowfish Reef is located just south of the main reef of Sha'ab Abu Nuhas and is obviously named after the amount of yellow fish. You will see many types of banner fish, sweetlips and butterfly fish. But also glassfish, fusiliers, barracuda, jacks, whitetips, turtles and wrasses. Coral types such as table corals and fire coral can be seen in large quantities as well. This reef can be circumnavigated in about 70 minutes, but it won’t give you enough time to explore the best sections of this reef. Be careful for the current because it can still be strong enough to make you end up way ahead of the dive boat. This sheltered area makes a perfect night stop for dive boats and many live-aboard tours make excellent night dives here.
