North Passage, Big Crack and Big Passage are all names for the same dive located near the much more famous dive called Small Crack or Small Passage. Two channels are separating a wide sandy lagoon with the deeper blue ocean, constituting Shaab Mahmud. The larger channel is Big Crack where you can find fantastic stains of coral. Overnight boats often use this sheltered area to spend the evening, allowing many enthusiastic divers to do this extra night-dive and to enjoy the turquoise colored waters near shore.
