A little bit north of Big Brother, a wreck named 'the railway wreck' or 'the Numidia' sunk in 1901. This 6339 ton steamship struck Big Brother on her second voyage to India. It was an English ship transporting material for railways. It is covered completely with soft corals in all kind of colors. The bow at 9 meter is marked by a few strange wheels. Most of the wreck is at 15 m and goes on to 40, where the hull has been broken. The propeller and rear of the boat can be found at a depth of around 80 m. These are depth well beyond diving limits, so please be careful and don't let your entiousiasm lead the dive. Current can be very strong, but when not afraid for grey reef and hammerhead sharks, shelter can be found within the wreck. Most of the wooden floors have long been eaten by marine worms allowing more access and light into the interior, but bring a light anyway.
At the 40 meter point the return journey to the surface begins. Blue lights will enter the engine room, giving it a fascinating an unreal appearance. Some of the things which can be seen are the stairs, gauges and doors leading in several directions. Eventually leading to the bridge.
When the weather is bad the waves will be big and the wind will be strong. Because of anchor difficulties, diving here can then be limited to one day only.
