Sha'ab Khanzier is one of the dive areas nearby Dahab which is not shore based. In fact, for the more professionals, it is definitely worth finding some divers to take a boat out to some of the nearby reefs. Sha'ab Khanzier is a very common reef with hardly any current and many of the common reef fish and coral species. Khanzir means trigger fish in Arabic and the red tooth trigger fish is one of the species you will see in great numbers. Don't let them bite you! There is a sandy plateau at 20 meters with some nice coral heads. Expect to dive at a normal reef with many fish and great coral coverage but without anything thrilling.
