Sharm el Sheik offers excellent scuba diving inside the Ras Mohammed National Park. Its dive sites and snorkeling opportunities are diverse with wall diving, coral gardens and great drift dives.

Ras Mohammed or Raz Mohammed, declared a National Park in 1983, lies on the southern most tip of the Sinai and it is one of the best kept National Parks in Egypt. The sea near Sharm el Sheik is full of nutricients and therefore attracts a large amount of big fish. With a touristy city such as Sharm El Sheik nearby (Check Sharm El Sheik Hotels for accommodations) diving possibilities are unlimited and trips to the best dive sites can easily be arranged.

The water temperature is nice at 20 degrees in winter (February) to 27 degrees in summer (early October). The Egyptian Climate is hot and dry, ranging from 40 degrees in summer to 20 in winter. Diving Sharm el Sheik can be done year around, with visibilities between 10 and 50 meters, depending on the place you visit and the wind conditions.
