The Hamada was not discovered until 1995 when divers found it still holding cargo, charts, documents and intercoms. This 65 meter large coastal freighter which was carrying plastic granules is said to sink in deep waters because of fire in 1993. This official report is not very clear as divers have found mattresses only partially burned and the coordinates of the place where she would have sunk were incorrect. The boat obviously drifted for much further than the government had told. The crew had escaped but not in a rush as the first divers saw that tools and equipment was taken.
Nowadays, each section of the wreck is colonized with life, some cargo holds still full of cargo. It doesn't have much coral yet, but the amount of marine life is huge.
