Mangrove Bay is a small bay which has unfortunately recently transformed into a huge hotel construction yard in the north. Live-aboard tours occasionally dive here but its southern reef with its pinnacles and sandy ravines is much better and less damaged. Be careful when entering from shore as there are many holes in the reeftop where you can seriously hurt your feet. The main coral types you will find here are hard corals such as brain and table. Marine life is divers and plentiful with many species including unicorns, surgeons, wrasses, snappers, fusiliers and barracudas.
