Abu Telhar or Abu Telha as it is spelled as well is often used to start with on a long drift dive all the way south to Ras Abu Helal. She can only be dived during high tide under perfect conditions. This is one of the reasons that she is less visited which has increased her beauty. Entering the dive site is difficult as you have to cross a very slippery and sandy reef table. It is worth all the trouble though because once in the water you will find some of the most incredible coral formations ever seen. In the center a wall that goes as deep as 50 meter with a lot of hard coral and some interesting sink holes. It is an incredible dive, especially in combination with the Little Canyon.
