De Canyon is een fantastische kloof in het rif gevuld met vis die je tot 50 meter diepte in kan gaan.

De tweede beroemdste duikplek van Dahab is de Canyon. Deze locatie ligt ongeveer 1.5 km ten zuiden van de Blue Hole en is gemakkelijk bereikbaar vanaf Dahab. Het begin van de duik is in een zandlagune van ongeveer 3 á 4 m diep, waarna je over een zadel de open zee bereikt. Hier ga je links af naar de Canyon, rond een diepte van 15 m. Bij de Canyon aangekomen zijn er verschillende mogelijkheden om de Canyon in te gaan, die allemaal de moeite waard zijn.
De Canyon is een grote scheur in het rif in noord/zuidelijke richting. Hij heeft een maximumdiepte van 52 m. Je kunt rond de 20 m als een parachutist afdalen naar binnen, waar je terecht komt op de zandbodem. Op een diepte van maximaal 40 m kun je omhoog kijken door de scheur. Je ziet dan (tegen de donkere voorgrond) de blauwe zee en lucht. De lichtval hier is iets wat de meeste duikers adembenemend vinden.
Wanneer je langzaam de Canyon volgt en omhoog zwemt, kun je op een diepte van 15 m de Canyon door een smalle doorgang weer verlaten. Op de weg terug zwem je over de Canyon heen, waarbij de lucht van de duikers die binnen zijn geweest door kleine gaatjes weer naar buiten borrelt.
De Canyon is ook erg mooi om te doen tijdens een nachtduik, vooral bij volle maan. Zonder lamp kun je met het licht van de maan richting de kloof zwemmen. In de kloof afdalen met lamp, op de bodem je lamp weer uitzetten, neerknielen en genieten van het uitzicht, het is onbeschrijflijk. Wanneer je de Canyon uitkomt, kun je met je lamp gaan speuren naar de vele Spaanse Danseressen die hier te vinden zijn, en allerlei vissen die 's nachts actief zijn en die je overdag niet of nauwelijks ziet.
Wanneer je vanuit de lagune die het startpunt is voor je duik naar de Canyon, naar rechts gaat in plaats van naar links, kom je uit bij de Canyon Garden. Deze duik is zeer geschikt als een heel kleurrijke, ondiepe duik. Er zijn octopussen, Anthias, Glassfish, en wie weet kom je nog een schildpad tegen. Op de zandgedeelten is de kans groot Blue-spotted Stingrays te vinden.
